Royal Inn Motel

Great staff very kind. Good value. Clean rooms. Would recommend this motel before pricey hotel/motel. U do have to pay $50 deposit but you will get it back at check out as long as u dont smoke in non-smoking room and u dont destroy the room.

I'm giving this place four stars. Is this a four star resort? No, it is not. This is a motel designed for truck drivers. The rooms are clean. The rooms have all the amenities for a one night stay. This is not a place one goes for a vacation. This is a place a working truck driver gets a good night sleep and a hot shower for a reasonable price. It's conveniently located to hundreds of warehouses where you may be parking your rig for the evening.

Usually staying at a motel, you don't expect much. I was just looking for a place to stay that wouldn't cost much. This however was a very clean room, with lots of amenities. It had a fridge, microwave, blow dryer, iron and ironing board, desk, table with chairs, and plenty of channels on the tv. Not bad for $50.00. The only drawback, was that around 4 in the morning you could hear the nearby trains or trucks banging containers. Not loud enough to ruin my sleep. Hot shower, clean beds, and comfortable room. I even forgot my computer there and didn't realize it until I got home. When I called, they had it in the office, boxed it up for me to have FedEx pick it up. Honest people make this a 5 star review for me! I will definitely stay there again.

The best kept secret in Columbus when it comes to hotels. We had a few friends in town and we made reservations a few days ahead. The staff is great and friendly...the rooms are big and VERY, VERY, CLEAN. The bed was comfortable. This is a bargin at its max. The rooms are as nice as the " big boys " w/out the price. Our guest as well loved the rooms. We highly recommend this place to anyone..the pride shows in the operation of this hotel..something you hardly see anymore. We look forward to our next stay here.

Had an amazing experience here with my family. This hotel is very comfortable, quiet, and the pricing of the room is affordable, yet doesn't effect the quality and service here one bit. The maid is very friendly and makes sure you always have what you need. The owners/management here is amazing and very courteous. They go above and beyond for their customers. I am very grateful to have met and had the pleasure of staying in their hotel. Thank you for our wonderful experience of staying here. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

It was inexpensive and very pleasant accommodations. I have stayed in motels of this style and vintage in past and had very disappointing experiences, but don't let the modest look of the outside of Royal Inn deter you. This is thoroughly updated, but not as bland as chain motels. I was happily surprised.

No frills hotel. Room was extremely clean. Check in was quick and easy. Front desk was extremely personable and friendly. I will most definitely stay here again when I’m in the area.

I have been working the Hotel Industry for over 20 years. So I know hotels. My stay here was nothing less than surprising. On an extremely busy weekend where the city was hosting The Rolling Stones in concert and there were no other rooms availabale this was a lucky find. The room was spacious and clean. The carpet and wallpaper while older was in great shape. No rips, holes, or runs in the carpet. It was worn near the door but thats to be expected. The wallpaper was older, but not peeling or falling off the wall. The bed was a King size. You could tell it was newer and the linens were clean and fresh. Towels were the typical Hotel Towels but again clean and fresh. Room had a Microwave and refrigerator, a small table and 2 chairs to sit and eat at, a desk, TV Dresser, Hair Dryer and large selection of TV Channels that was surprising. While the furniture was older it was in good repair. My wife smoke and I do not, so we got a smoking room. While I could smell a faint odor of the smoke, it was not overpowering or unpleasant. The hotel is located near the highway and train tracks and while you can hear the traffic from both at peak hours its not too loud and bearable. Pat and his wife(the owners I believe) were extremely friendly and helpful. The Quality Inn next door was priced at $100 or more before taxes, our room was $52 plus tax. I steal and well worth it. I will be staying here again in the future. Thank you to Pat and his wife for an awesome experience.
